What’s the difference between a storyboard and an animatic?
A storyboard is a series of still frames. An animatic turns those frames into a timed sequence with sound and motion, giving you a clearer sense of how the final video will play.
How detailed is an animatic?
Animatics are rough by design. They guide production, not replace the final animation or live-action footage.
How long does an animatic take to produce?
Most can be completed within a few days, depending on complexity and revisions.
Do I need a storyboard first?
It helps, but not essential. We can create a storyboard for you before building the animatic.
Can animatics include voiceover or music?
Yes, temporary VO, music and sound effects are often added to shape timing and tone.
Are animatics useful for live-action shoots?
Yes, they provide clarity on shot lists, movement, pacing and transitions, making production smoother and more intentional.
